With the epidemic under control on a global scale, especially major economies will formulate and implement post-epidemic economic recovery and stimulus plans around sustainable development, it is expected that global photovoltaic demand will enter a rapid growth channel.

The photovoltaic market tends to be internationalized and diversified

Accompanied by the rapid growth of global photovoltaic demand, the global market has become more diversified and decentralized. Photovoltaic applications have become popular all over the world, and emerging markets have continued to emerge. More and more countries have annual new installed capacity exceeding 1GW; more countries have begun to promote photovoltaic applications, with annual new installed capacity exceeding 100MW. Although affected by the epidemic, the number of countries with new installed capacity exceeding 1GW and 100MW in 2020 has decreased compared with 2019, but it is expected that after the epidemic is brought under control, more countries will have annual new installed capacity of 1GW and 100MW.

The top ten markets for global new photovoltaic installations in 2020 are China, the United States, Vietnam, Japan, Australia, India, Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Spain. Among them, the market share of new photovoltaic installed capacity in mainland China is as high as 35.10%.
