National Energy Administration: 44.47GW of new photovoltaic installed capacity from January to August

On September 21, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to August. As of the end of August, the national installed capacity of power generation was about 2.47 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was about 340 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%; the installed capacity of solar power generation (Solar mounting system installation) was about 350 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%.

From January to August, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2,499 hours, a decrease of 67 hours over the same period of the previous year. Among them, thermal power was 2,930 hours, a decrease of 64 hours compared with the same period of the previous year; nuclear power was 4,995 hours, a decrease of 224 hours compared with the same period of the previous year; and wind power was 1,460 hours, a decrease of 40 hours compared with the same period of the previous year.

From January to August, the power projects of major power generation enterprises in the country completed an investment of 320.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%. Among them, solar power generation (Solar panel mount system) was 102.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 323.8%. The investment in power grid projects was 266.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.
