National Energy Administration: The newly installed photovoltaic capacity in the first four months was 16.88GW, a year-on-year increase of 138%
On May 17, the National Energy Administration released the national power industry statistics from January to April. As of the end of April, the national installed capacity of power generation was about 2.41 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power is about 340 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%; the installed capacity of solar power generation is about 320 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%.
Among them, from January to April, the newly installed capacity of hydropower was 5 million kilowatts; the newly installed capacity of thermal power was 9.38 million kilowatts; the newly installed capacity of nuclear power was 1.16 million kilowatts; the newly installed capacity of hydropower was 9.58 million kilowatts; and the newly solar mounting installed capacity of solar power was 16.88 million kilowatts.
With a large lead, solar power generation has become the first in newly solar bracket installed capacity from January to April 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 138%; among which, the newly installed capacity in April was 3.67GW, a year-on-year increase of 110% and a month-on-month increase of 56%. Mainly due to the promotion of the whole county in China and the project of "Scenery Base" in full swing.
In terms of overseas markets, since the outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of the year, the EU has repeatedly announced that it will use photovoltaic power generation and other renewable energy sources to get rid of its dependence on Russia's imported natural gas. The plan to install solar energy in all public buildings suitable for the use of solar energy has also increased the demand for photovoltaic products in my country.
Based on this forecast, the global solar panel mounting systems installed capacity of photovoltaics this year may exceed 240GW.
