Peru's solar energy sector has reached a major milestone, with installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity officially surpassing wind power capacity for the first time. The company currently operates approximately 2.6 GW of installed capacity, primarily from natural gas and hydropower assets. To support its clean energy strategy, Kallpa has secured temporary land-use permits for the 400 MW Tanaka Wind Project and the 234 MW La Salinas II Solar Project, while also receiving grid connection approval for the 306 MW Pacífico Wind Project.
