On October 24, the State Council of China proposed to vigorously develop wind energy and solar energy, and continuously increase the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption; the China Development and Reform Commission pointed out that it is necessary to vigorously and orderly adjust the energy structure, accelerate the construction of wind power and photovoltaic bases, and encourage local and nearby develop and use.

 In China, solar power generation currently accounts for only 3.4% of the total power generation. From the perspective of energy composition, it takes a long time for renewable energy to replace traditional coal power. However, the general trend to achieve the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" is irreversible.

According to statistics from the National Energy Administration, the national photovoltaic power generation capacity was 157.64 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 23.4% year-on-year; the country’s newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 13.01 million kilowatts. Among them, 5.36 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power plants and 7.65 million kilowatts of distributed photovoltaics. The photovoltaic industry can alleviate the current shortage of non-renewable energy to a large extent, and further protect the safety of China's energy supply.

The China Photovoltaic Industry Association predicts that in the next 10 years, China’s new wind power and photovoltaic power generation capacity may exceed 1 billion kilowatts. Judging from the current implementation, the construction of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic base projects is obviously accelerating in the near future. At present, China's first large-scale wind power and photovoltaic base projects with an installed capacity of about 100 million kilowatts have started in an orderly manner in the near future. As future policies will continue to improve, the solar installation (solar roof mounting/ solar panel ground mount/ solar carport) may usher in the best historical development period.
