Installing solar panels on the roof can not only solve household electricity consumption, but installing solar panels on the roof of the factory building can greatly reduce the pressure on production electricity. Most factories have metal roofs, but there are many options for installing photovoltaic panels, the most common being long rail installation and mini rail installation.
When we provided solutions to customers, we compared the costs of the two solutions. The mini rail solar mounting bracket solution is about 63% cheaper than the conventional rail installation. The price gap between the two solutions is very large.
The choice of mini rail or long rail for photovoltaic bracket depends on the specific situation. First of all, we need to consider the condition of the roof. The mini rail is suitable for a relatively new roof. If it is a dilapidated roof, it is not suitable for installation, and the risk of loosening is relatively high. Secondly, it depends on the local climate conditions. If the local wind speed is relatively high, and the maximum wind speed within 50 years is about greater than 40m/s, the mini rail installation is basically not considered. In a windy environment, the long rail installation is more stable. Finally, it depends on the local snow load. If the snow is too heavy, it is not suitable for installation on mini rails, because the load-bearing capacity of mini rails is weaker than that of long rails, and it is easy to be crushed by thick snow.
