Some customers especially new customers will ask us some installation issues of solar carport rack mount. Solar carport mounting systems are widely-used in commercial as well as residential projects. It is necessary to systematically explain some key points about Sunforson solar carport mounts.

There are two popular models of solar car parking structures, one is CP-03, another is CP-05. CP-03 adopts the triangle design and CP-05 is with “N” shape design structure, which is the biggest difference between two models. What many customers care most is the installation of solar carport brackets. They will ask us why both two models need  concrete block to fix rather the whole structure directly fix on ground by screws.

That’s an important construction problem. Generally, to make the carport structure stable and secure enough, we should pour 700mm concrete block on the ground, and depth of foundation bolt should reach at least 300mm. If we directly fix the carport on cement ground, usually the ground is not thick enough to support the whole structure and will cause stability problem. Here are 3 types of installations for reference.

Another key point is the leaks of rain. One solution is to use waterproof design. However, whether the solar carport structure can be designed as waterproof system depends on local wind speed and snow load as well as tilted angle projects need. In addition, some customers will consider more the cost of waterproof system. We will suggest them to use the glass glue, which also can help to solve the problem of leaks.
